Missing teeth can be replaced by using adjacent teeth as a support for a dental bridge. Healthy teeth from both sides of the empty space or in some cases from one side of the space are used to support a false tooth which fills the gap. Unlike partial dentures, the dental bridge is cemented or bonded in place.

A dental bridge is ideal for closing smaller gaps in the dentition, eliminating the need for a “flipper” that the patient has to insert and remove every day.

There are a number of ways to construct bridges for our Haslet, TX, dental patients. The supporting teeth can either be trimmed on all four sides to support the false tooth or the false tooth can be fitted with “wings” that bond to the supporting teeth on either side.

Dr. Shattuck can help you determine the best option for your mouth to improve your oral health and give you back your beautiful smile.
